Happy New Year!
Well unfortunately, America’s sweetheart did not make the crossover however, we were so fortunate to have Ms. Betty Marion White Ludden with us for almost a century! Betty White was born Betty Marion White Ludden on January 17, 1922 in Oak Park, Illinois. She was the only child of Horace and Tess White. When Betty was 2, she moved to Los Angeles with her family. Betty began working at a local television station as an assistant and as time went on she found a love for theatre and show business. She produced her first television series with George Tibbles, entitled, “Life with Elizabeth” in the early 1950’s. Betty was a trailblazer, being one of the first female producers in Hollywood.
“Life with Elizabeth” was birthed from a sketch she had previously performed on local television. Betty continued to work in television and made guest appearances on shows such as the Petticoat Junction & The United States Steel Hour and was a regular on game shows such as Password and even guest appeared on the Tonight Show. Betty went on to play Sue Ann Nivens on the Mary Tyler Moore Show in the 1970's, where she won two Emmy Awards. Next came the Golden Girls in the early 1980’s. This is where I remember Betty White from. As a little girl, on Saturday nights, I remember my mother washing and styling me and my sister’s hair in preparation for church in the morning. We would sit in her room; watch the Saturday night line up on TV: Golden Girls, Amen and Empty Nest. If we stayed up super late we could watch get a glimpse of Tales from the Crypt, but by then it was midnight, too late, time to go to bed and get ready for church in the morning.
Who can forget Betty white? If you are an 80’s baby like me, there is a strong chance that your mother watched Golden Girls, and her mother and possibly your great grandmother as well. But there is also a good chance that your grandmother was probably watching Betty White on the Mary Tyler Moore Show in the and in her earlier role on Petticoat Junction. I was just recently discussing Betty White at work last week, saying that she was the last of the Golden Girls, and how she is about to turn 100. I had no idea that her centennial day would not come, as her “chronological” transition came on the afternoon of Friday, December 31, 2021. Everyone, I mean the whole world was sad and if you didn’t know who Betty White was, you probably lived under a rock, or under that rock in perhaps in another country or were born after 1995.
Here is the gist of this: Betty White represented longevity, class, femininity, grace, staying power and spiritually, she was a symbol of the times that we are living in. White represents the last of this generations’ visage of her kind. We will never see another legend like White, one that several generations knew simultaneously and one that ubiquitously was loved and affectionately known. She was a an archetype of the sweet and sassy yet naïve girl next door that had mass appeal to just about all audiences: comedy, drama, prime time and family television. She didn’t exude drama or public displays of drama and personal baggage.
She was the common denominator that linked all generations: Traditionalists, Baby Boomers, Generation X (millennials) and even some Generation Z’s. Just think for a moment….are there any other Betty White’s around? This is truly a sign of the times. I believe the Most High is saying this age and dispensation is passing away quickly. A new era, age is moving in. Legends and even those we never expected to pass are leaving, young and old; time doesn’t know your age, it just comes to your appointed date (Kairos).
Look around, there is chaos and volatility and an aura of excitement in the atmosphere simultaneously. A shaking is happening, a shift is taking place.. sort of like the seismic shifts in the earth when earthquakes happen. Tectonic plates move underneath the earth prior to an earthquake, you just never feel their movement until boom, the earthquake hits!!!
In the book of Matthew 16:3, the word states,
“and in the morning it will be foul weather to day, for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky, but can ye not discern the signs of the times?”
Matthew is stating in parable form that people will pay attention to the sky’s unusual red color but not connect this occurrence to the day and time and why this would happen. We are in that day and time today. People don’t feel the tectonic plates shifting beneath the surface of the earth but when the earthquake happens, everyone is caught off guard.
This scripture is stating that many will look up and say there are signs but will not correlate those signs to the times of the end or the end of the age. Many lack discernment and wisdom. Many are not thinking and are not cognizant because of social media and narcissism and histrionic behavior. Wake up! I say we are in the "days of Noah" ! In essence, many are looking for signs but once the signs appear, they are oblivious to the obvious. Betty White was only 18 days away from her 100th birthday. She will truly be missed.
Matthew 24:6-13 states
6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.
We are in a time like no other with wars and rumors of war between China, Taiwan and Russia. I believe a war is on the horizon. There is already a war for our minds and freedoms. The weather patterns are changing under the guise of "climate change". Here in the DC area, we literally skipped winter in the month of December with 50 and 60 degree weather and just today (January 3rd) we had a snow storm with temps in the 20's. The "variolation" campaign will continue as the "virus" mutates. More draconian measures will commence. We have a President in cognitive decline and I truly believe Vice President Harris will become Biden’s successor this year, I don’t know how much longer Biden will keep going. Many times he even alludes in his speeches referencing “President Harris” and if she is President, things will change drastically and in my opinion, not for the better. "The wheats will be separated from the tares" .... Something will break sooner or later. Don't wait. Prepare now.
The deficit will continue to climb. The dollar will continue to be challenged with digital currency as we lose faith in it. America is currently in year two of a “pandemic” which I personally believe is a plague. Plagues in a spiritual context are an expression of judgement and justice from the Most High, a sort of call to repentance or divine intervention. Signs of the times we are in….. But again, you can believe this or just see it from a physical standpoint with an ecological, biological “origination” from Wuhan, China. Prepare now.
Or...
Ignore the signs. It's Your choice.
The year 2022 is significant in that the number 22 is considered to be a master number. This is a power number in that 22 intertwines the spiritual and the natural. We are living in an hour where the spiritual occurrences will not match up with the natural. Do not be surprised. This is a year I believe of supernatural occurrences as well as significant natural happenings. I don’t know all of the specifics but just prepare yourself and your family. Stock up dry goods and take care of things that are outstanding, this is not the time to be irresponsible and careless.
Prepare your house, affairs and be prompt and proactive like the ant. Don’t delay and procrastinate.
22 is an even number and perfect square. I am not a numerologist but even in the Hebrew and ancient days, numbers held divine and spiritual significance. Harmony, flexibility, evolution and expansion as well as duality, balance, relationship and selflessness are associated with 22. When the disciples went out to preach, they always went out in pairs, it takes two people to procreate and there are 22 letters in the Hebrew alphabet, 11 (a divine number) is 22 doubled & mathematically since 22 is an Erdos-Woods number, it is possible to find sequences of 22 consecutive integers that each inner number member shares a factor with (either the first or the last member), Kabbalists believe there are 22 paths in their Tree of Life, and an article on 365pincode.com states,
"22 is a super charged number which carries within it the unique genius of bringing the inspired vision of the heavens (that which the number 11 sees and knows) back down to earth and turning thought (the invisible, inspired, yet intangible vision) in to structure (tangible form, the magnificent visible result which benefits many)"
Just a fun fact! I don’t get too deep into numerology!
In closing, no matter what the year may be, just know that you must be prepared and aligned spiritually, physically, mentally, financially and emotionally for this journey that we call life. We are living in uncertain, perilous and unprecedented times.
The Greek word, “Kairos” denotes there is a specific season and time, (not happenstance or coincidence) or not chronologically speaking but a set time and specific opportunity to complete tasks, assignments and goals that were are assigned to you !
(only you know what affairs and tasks you are need to handle).
What are you waiting for????
Kairos is an opportune time and doesn’t necessarily imply the convenience of the season. Meaning: don’t procrastinate, be prepared! also, the unexpected can happen at any time so be ready! (think engagements, pregnancy, ministry work, promotion, etc.).
The necessity of the task at hand is imperative whether the time provides a good or convenient opportunity or not.
This can correlate to your purpose and destiny.
In the English language, there is no equivalent word to Kairos. When combined with the “Chronos” time (chronological linear time) certain preordained events will take place or necessary accomplishments that need to take place must take place or that time will dissipate. That is why people say that, “I’ve lost time, or I didn’t get a chance to complete my degree or my project, I didn’t get an opportunity to met him. We missed each other!”
Perhaps, you missed your appointed time because you missed your sign or moment or perhaps you were preoccupied. Kairos time gives a specific opportune time so make sure that you don’t miss it.
Pay attention, stop being distracted on social media and with people; look at the sky and discern the times and your moment, because you may never get another one.
I am sure that Betty White is smiling down from heaven and thinking that she made the most of all of her almost century stay here on earth, all of her chronological and Kairos time!
So, this year, or a year from now (don't sit, reflect and regret what you didn't do in 2022) and don’t miss your time to do what you love, need and want to do. No time is promised to anyone. We may never see another Betty White in our Kairos time. When you are old there are generally one of two things that you will do: remember the good times or regret the bad and what you didn’t accomplish.
No one likes regret…it’s a horrible feeling especially when all of your time is gone…..
It’s a new year and somehow this year feels different. What about you? Make a list now of all of your tasks and projects and goals.
Pray over it and meditate. Make a vision board. Sit with yourself and a loved one and plan. Working in Probate Court had me thinking ahead and planning.......don't delay....Go for it!
